   Objective:
   • Create policy-level awareness of FOSS.
   • Familiarise participants with advantages / limitations of FOSS.
   • Enable participants to discuss / ask questions / dispell myths.
   • Establish FOSS as a cutting edge (not a second-best) solution.
   • Enable participants to avoid discriminatory tenders / procurement practices.
   • Enable participants to assess how/if their organisations might benefit from supporting and using FOSS.
   
   Target Groups:
   • Chief Information Officers (public and private sector).
   • Individuals involved in IT procurement (private and public sector).
   • Policy makers.
   • Media.
   • Decision makers from civil society organisations that could act as multipliers.
   • Local IT sector (especially IT services and support).
   • Development aid organisations (for co-funding).
